How to start a covert blog

Posted by blogmanager on 14/02/08

When you have just started your blog, chances are that you don’t want all visitors to the Blogactiv site to know about it before you have done some basic customisation and perhaps posted one post other than “Hello World!”

That’s easy to do:

In the back office, under “Plug-Ins”, activate “Set blog private view”

You will then find, under Options / Privacy, a new configuration panel which gives you the following choices

  • I would like my blog to be visible to anyone who visits, including search engines, archivers and in public listings around this site
  • I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors
  • I would like my site to be visible only to users I add in the Users panel.

i would rather wait for everything is ready before making annoucement to public. I like people to come to my site, and say, “wow, this is nice”

Well I always leave “hello world” with no changes, but who know maybe this is a good idea to delete it.

Thank you very much for this information. I’m thinking about creating my own blog. And I hope this point will be useful for me. You know I like my friend to come to my site. I will let you know about my success.

You know I always choose “Hello World”, and I want my blog to be analyzed by visitors. From your article I see that it is easy to do – thanks.
