Blogactiv Technical Support

At a time when hosts over 500 EU-bloggers and an abundance of great blogposts, the BlogActiv team has finished plumbing work to take our platform one step further.

We’re glad to announce that BlogActiv is getting a technical upgrade this weekend.

All the technical steps will be executed this Sunday (March 22). The BlogActiv service will be down while we roll out this upgrade. We would like to advise you to publish your latest blog posts either before Saturday 23:59 or as from Monday, early morning.

And now for the exciting part: what can you expect from the upgrade?

  • Your blog will run smoother than ever, making it easier to publish, edit and play around with the layout of your posts and your blog. The blogs and BlogActiv’s homepage will also get a visual facelift;
  • BlogActiv will be mobile-proof: visitors will have a great experience reading your posts on their mobile;
  • Apart from selecting custom ‘Categories’ for your blog, you will be able to choose the ‘Sections’ you want your post to appear in. You will also tell us on which of BlogActiv and EurActiv’s section pages you’d like to suggest your posts to appear;
  • We have a range of new features on offer, which we’ll present to you after the upgrade. Just one spoiler: you will be able to auto-post from BlogActiv to plenty of social media… and vice versa.

We will be in touch early next week with a Frequently Asked Questions document which explains what has changed and what is new. In the meantime, if you’d have any questions or need to flag a little bug, don’t hesitate to drop us a line on

To run you through the details of BlogActiv’s new plumbing, and to exchange ideas on what BlogActiv could look like in the future, we’re organising a BlogActiv Bloggers Café on Thursday 26 March 2015.

Join us from 17.00 to 18.00 at EurActiv’s offices: International Press Centre (IPC) building, on the ‘Mezzanine’ floor, just next to the Commission’s Berlaymont building.

You’ll meet the BlogActiv IT team and Christophe Leclercq (@LeclercqEU) is also keen to catch up with all of you.
